I was wondering if there was anyone who knows if I can perm my hair.My hair is right below my ears and if I can perm it what one can i use and which would be a good one I don`t want to look like a poodle.

Thanks so much

This is what I heard: You shouldn`t do anything involving chemicals if you are in the 1st trimester and part way through the 2nd trimester. (I can`t remember the source - it just was stuck in my head)

Now for the other part - remember that hair will "shrink" up a lot when perming. Is it all one length or do you have layers? Have you done this before or are you just looking for a "easy" style for the soon - to - be? If it is the latter, I would seriously look for other options. There are better ways to get a easy shower and go style.
Congratulations!

cynthia~
First, if your pregnant i wouln`t suggest being around strong hamfull chemical fumes! :) But anyway, if your hair is that short, definatly dont get tight curls. You WILL look like a poodle. If you really want to perm it get a wave perm. Do you really want curly hair or are u just looking for A different look? Maybe you just need a new cut?? Bobs or somthing short that flips out at the bottom is really cute and if your looking for more body, these cuts will have layers and that will make your hair bigger. Or, try tipping your head upside down while its wet and blowdrying it like that. That`ll give it a different look. If you absolutly want to perm your hair, i think u should wait until after the baby is born. Hope I helped ya.

Be very careful! I recently had my hair cut to a similar length to yours and had a tight perm which left me with a poodle/bubble cut. Whilst this was fine for me, as it was what I wanted, I would be very careful considering ANY kinf of curly perm, perhaps waves would be best? I would also be careful with regard to any chemical treatment whilst pregnant, you could do untold damage! On the flip side, if you are wanting to perm your hair to enjoy an easy to manage style whilst looking after junior, my poodle perm is the easiest head of hair I`ve ever had. Good luck, Anna
