If your hair is dry and damaged, then yes silicon is a good idea for your hair. But overuse of it will build up on your hair over time.

Are products containing silicon bad for your hair?
I recentyl switched from L`Oreal to Herbal Essence. I love the smell but I find that it dries my hair...
