I have been remiss. I read this thread today and hadn't even noticed Kab's (or PB's) original post, even though I did read and respond to Anais Satin's. Sorry Kab!
Kab, you have offered high praise. It is very heart-warming to read what you've written. Thank YOU for the uplifting message.

I second Kab, I have the same feeling about this board. I´ve been "listening" to other boards, but this one has the kindest tone. Everyone are just such nice people!

HB is wonderful... I've spent lots of time on multiple hair boards, but HB is so diverse! A huge wealth of people with so many different hair experiences and interests. Thanks everyone for sharing their expertise. I look forward to sharing more of my own hair tales and experiences.
You are welcome. I'm glad we've helped you love your hair again.
It doesn't take great hair for us to love it. Just a bit of care. You have to let your hair have some fun.
Bad hair days are not really bad hair days.
It's just your hair taking a day off to have some fun.
Turn those negatives into positives and you'll be ok.
Oh and don't beat yourself up over cutting. There's nothing wrong with doing that. It is your hair and we can't fault you for doing what you thought was best for you.
I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who has posted. I've really learned a lot from you and my attitude and philosophy towards hair (yes, there is such a thing) has evolved. Before I learned about this board, I had grown out my hair nearly to waist length at least four times--twice ending in a drastic bob and twice ending with "me, the scissors and a mirror." Because of what you have shown me, I will never take such a destructive route again. I do take more time with hair mostly due to the advice from the board (I never heard a conditioner wash before; or jojoba--monoi--sweet almond--oil; or knew to pay attention to the brand and ingredients of hair products).
To list everything that I appreciate about this board--we would be here for days. But what I love the most is the sensitivity, tenderness, and seriousness that everyone takes with one another's questions and comments. These might seem like very "soft" words to apply, but for the most part, this is what I feel when I read the posts. Thank you, thank you.
