There are worse things than food/drink being tasteless.

Water gives you headaches? Never heard that one. Are you allergic to it?

And coca-cola is your favorite drink? Sure I like the stuff, but have it in moderation (and anymore, try to drink the diet stuff. doesn't taste as good but all that sugar is very unhealthy).

Lots of regular multi vitamin pills have that slick, easy-to-swallow coating. I suggest taking all pills, capsules, caplets, with a bite of food. Before swallowing the mouthfull, pop the pill and make sure it's surrounded with food, so you can't even tell you're taking the pill. Easy.

I dont like pills either and the only thing i take is biotin. I think i should sit up and change my lifestyle...and i dont like water cos its tasteless. lol. and it gives me headaches. I guess because my body is used to coca cola which is my fav drink btw. If i want to take vitamins should i take multi vitamins ? and which one do you know that has very little pills. i really dont like pills. i would rather take shots.

Hi Renee,

I honestly don't know the answer to your question. It is my understanding that biotin helps your body to metabolize dietary protein. And, that a generous amount of water daily is beneficial for your health. Hmmm, I'm getting thirsty for some just writing this. . I am curious, why do you not like water?

One last comment: how is your vitamin/mineral supplementation? I hope for your sake you are supplementing with vit/min because vital nutrients may be in short supply with a "junk" diet.

hey dave...i heard that when taking biotin, one has to drink lots of water....is that true Because personally i dont like water ...and yes, my diet consists mainly of junk food

Welcome Charlie! Best dietary advice is a healthy and well-balanced diet. I supplement with a regular one-a-day type multi and zinc, biotin, and high potency B-complex.

Do also keep in mind that all people have different hair needs-- trust your instincts and your results-- if a shampoo makes both your hair and scalp feel great, that's a good sign.

Personally, what I find more important is a shampoo that is gentle though not necessarily labeled "moisturizing". Salon Selectives and Paul Mitchell both have gentle cleansers... And Suave Professionals Color Care shampoo also. Does this help?

Hi everyone,
I'm new here but am looking for advice on the best vitamin for hair growth. I have read that iron is indead important for the hair. Also what is the best moisturising shampoo & conditioner for normal below shoulder length hair. I might add that I am 52 yrs old & want the best head of hair possible.
