I`ll warn you that this doesn`t always work and you have to be VERY CAREFUL when doing this. You can end up burning your hair if you leave the iron on too long so watch it.
My best friend does this all the time. It`s easiest if you just lay your hair out over an ironing board and someone else does it for you. Just iron it like you would iron clothes, running the iron over pieces of hair. Don`t rush! Doing it on your own makes it very easy to burn your scalp or leave it on too long.

a hair iron is kinda like a curling iron except there is 2 flat pieces of hot metal that are pushed together... kinda. sorry i'm bad at explaining things.

I have had my hair perfessionaly straightned, and it didn`t work at all. it was this checmical that you leave in for like 15 minutes, and it did completley nothin. I dont remember what it was called. It only made my hair smooth for about 3 days then it went back to its normal old frizzy poofy self again. i also tried using hair straighnters, they also did comepletly nothing to my hair, it stayed the same, and was just fried even more. If any one knows some solutions to this just e-mail me at sdfan16@yahoo.com thanks!!
Hey......i tried using a hair straightener but it doesn`t work on my hair. but some people at my school use an iron, like one that you use on clothes to straighten their hair. i tried it and it worked out great!!! my hair is naturally wavy and really big, but when i straightened it with the iron, it was stick straight and really thin, it was like christina aguilera`s hair! i loved it!!
HI! You seem to have to same trouble as I do with my curly hair. Its long and mine is very thick. I have had a relaxer put on it and have tried almost everything there is out there to make my hair stright. It Does Not Seem To Be Working. I hate my curls. I need Help TOO! Wish I could help!!! Thanks :)

I have that Conair Strait Styles and it doesn't work for me. I have naturally wavy thick hair. The only way I can get it straight is if I blow dry it using a paddle brush. I don't like this method because it takes so long. Soon I hope to go get my hair chemically straightened. -hol6

I use Redkin Straight and I love it! My hair is thick too and naturally curly. I put this stuff on my hair before drying it with a big round brush, and it really makes my waves go away. Also, it protects it from the heat. I have also used a straightening iron....I didn't like the results. I have better success when I just use a regular old big round brush and my hair dryer
i have long & kinda thick hair and i was wondering anyone has used those hair straighters and if they really work cause it might be something different i could do because my hair is always the same and i emphasize the word ALWAYS! :) thanks!! :)
