put gel in your hair before you blowdry it. and if you`re blowdrying your hair upside down to help get it straight, don`t do that. try using pomade after you`ve dryed and curled it. You could also buy a flat iron, that should make your hair very stright, with out the puffy-ness.

my hair was like that for a good portion of my short life here on earth. what i did is i got a good stylist who recommended shampoos and conditioners. this helped my hair a lot. its made it less frizzy and now i can either blow dry it or i can just let it air dry and i get the natural waves.

My hair is the same way, cut and all. Did you ever try, after showering, get some really good gel and scrunch it in your hair? I do this, and not only will my hair become wavy at first, it gets really curly. If one of your parents has/used to have curly hair, you may have some hidden curly hair genes. If not, try it anyways! Tell me the results!
my hair is being so frustrating! it`s thick & naturally wavy, but wimpy waves not nice ones..it`s long layered and about an inch above my shoulder. usually i blow dry it straight and curl it under with a round brush but it always turns out so POOFY! i hate it!! do any of u know any ways to make it so it isn`t so poofy...? or else, any ways to define my waves so I don`t have to blow dry it? if u can help, i will love u forever!! ;-*
