thanks :) I think I do too much to my hair but this is how I style it:
After I wash it, I put gel in it (there this stuff from walmart that`s by "got 2 b" and is blue) and then blow dry it (by pulling the spikes out while it`s drying). When it`s dry I put wax in it (I use this stuff I bought at Sally Beauty Supply called Stiff Head which is like a roll-on wax stick) and pull and twist spikes :) Finish it off with some really strong hairspray and you`re set :)
SyNtHeTkPoPtaRt, your hair is rad - I have mine pretty much like that - I use gel and spray to spike the back, but yours looks more like real hair and mine just looks kinda like little sticks or something... how do you do yours?
You`re right nitelite, your old `do does sound very cool. It`s a shame you have to give it up.
I`m no expert on hairdyeing, but I understand that medium brown doesn`t offer a lot of possibilities when it comes to extreme haircolors - at least, not without bleaching your hair. You could dye your hair dark red, or even black, but that`s so common nowadays...
As a fellow bighead, I can tell you that shorter is better :p. I don`t know how short your hair was, but cutting it shorter may just be the right thing to do... it might help those spikes stand up a little more enthousiastically, and your hair will recover sooner from the bleach...
Hey, how about dyeing it dark green, or perhaps your natural color with a slightly greenish cast... You`d have to look around a little to find a hairdresser that can do it, but it`d certainly be original...
I really need a new hairdo, but I don`t know what would look good on me....
I miss my old colour (manicpanic purple haze - a maroon-purple sort of thing) But having to bleach my medium-brown roots every month was wrecking my hair! I liked the soft spikes I had, but they always looked bad at the end of the day if I didn`t get a chance to fix them up
So, for an idea of what I look like:
o I`m a gurl o light-skinned (a little tanned right now, but usually a pinky undertone) o eyes are actually grey, but pick up the shade of my hair/clothing/surroundings/mood, so they`re often blue or green or purply o I`ve got a rather large head :p ... Long, with a pointy chin, but a little fleshier around the sides than I`d like (*pouts* If i gain a pound, it goes straight to my face) o I`d like to play up my features (esp eyes,) and play down the width of my face o My hair right now is around chin length, layered for a messy look, and medium-brown with a auburn highlights
I love pixieish cuts, but I`d also like something that frames my face ... Any cut/styling tips?
