Hey, there`s more than one type of messy bun. The usual one was explained, but if you want a really crazy, full and voluminous look, there`s a better (much messier) way. Here`s how: Pull your hair back like you were making a ponytail. Then pull your tail straight up and literally pile it on your head. Use tons of bobby pins and pin it there. It`s really cute and it looks different every time.
Well this is how i do it . I start with wet hair like after i take a shower or whatever. First I comb or brush the hair so its all smooth. Then I take one of those ouchless hair ties and wrap the thing around only once like I am making a ponytail. Then I wrap It around again but this time i don`t go through the pony tail all the way i stop more than half way through then i wrap it around the bun one more time and presto! I usually pull the bun a little to make it bigger. I hope i helped tell me how it comes out!

The way i do a messy bun is to tie my hair in a pony-tail and then twist the hair around its self letting any loose ends fall out. then hold it in place wiv grips. clips or an easies way is wiv a claer hair elastic.
