Hey Girly, this is a great thing you`re doing, I did this about 2 years ago, I parted with about 20 inches of hair, I had jet black hair down to the small of my back if not longer, and I had the same problem, my hair at the back of my head ended at about my chin and the front was longer, what I did was, I got a kind of sheared cut, lots and lots of layers everywhere, it was actually very pretty, good luck! =) And I don`t know if locks of love is a scam or not, I did not donate to this company, but if that article is true that you posted wake up, a percentage of that hair is used for wigs so it wouldn`t be entirely a scam if it were true.
They should really have help programs for make-up addiction, I`d be the head of it! =)
Hey wake up & ssjockey, doesn`t this belong on the hair politics board & not here? What exactly are you trying to acomplish? This has been an ongoing debate for a while now, & it never gets anywhere. It doesn`t belong here. For everyone who says locks of love is a scam, there is plenty of evidence suggesting it isn`t. So please stop. ssjockey I know you`ve been here for a while & post regularly, but wake up, you need to post about something other then cause controversy. Please, we don`t need it.

Well, deejay there are plenty of sites, with those hairstyles & others like them all over the net, you just need to take some time to do some searches & look. However, here are a few you may want to start with
you may also want to try a search on the hair boutique`s gallery.
I don`t know exactly what your looking for so I did the best I could with the knowledge I had. If I had some more information I may be able to help you better. I also have some pictures of some celebrities, & a few others, with some really great styles, which I would be more then happy to send you, if you just let me know.
P.S. Don`t listen to anything said about Locks of Love being a scam, what you are doing is truely great & you will be making some girl very happy.

Prove they do not. I am 100% percent correct in what I am saying. Just because you have blinders on and are AFRAID to see the truth, that is not my problem it is yours. Check the net, there aere many stories of people being snowed by them.
It has been well documented, everything I said (Except for the pervert part which I cannot confirm), but why else would a dude by a ponytail except to use a "prop"

You know, wake up, it`s really great to post an accusation against a charity, offer no proof, or anyway to contact you to refute your claims. I don`t know if they are legit, or not, I think they are.
Locks of Love is a scam! They sell the hair that you send them to perverts on the net. They also charge big BIG bucks to those needy little kids. They end up using about 10% of the hair they recieve for what they say they are doing.
Good luck deejay, I think what you are doing is great. I chopped off my waist length hair recently and wish I had known of this or a similar cause and I would have donated my locks. Hopefully when anyone else decides to cut their hair short they will do the same as you. Let us know how you get on and how it felt at the time. By the way I think you should go the whole way and get a really short, trendy cut as you may never get the chance again to see how it looks.

Hi, oh btw,I have another option for you I was just thinking about. Now this could get drastic so it would depend on how you felt after the intical cut, but you could try something like a short pixie, or pageboy, or something else similar. Again, I not suggesting this just offering it as an option & as I don`t really know much else about you can`t really say anything, but, since you are already making such a big sacrifice you may feel compeled to "go all the way." It may be your only chance. Again, I hope this helps, & good luck.

Hey, let me start off by saying that is a truly great thing you are doing, & not easy for some people to do. I have a few ideas for you but not exactly if they will work. For one check out haircut.net, under the vido section check out #80. Look at Cindy`s after pic. I absolutly love that style. Another suggestion is Roxanne`s cut on video #78 of that same site but I`m not sure if that would work for you, but check it out anyway. Hi guyz my name is Girly. I`m 18. I have decided to part with 10 inches of my hair. The hair will be donated to locks of love. The problem is, when I tie a pony tail, the hair is tied somewhere near the middle of my head and once i cut it, the middle of my head will have shorter hair than the rest of my head. I need u guyz to give me some suggestions on the hairstyles i could have once I cut my hair. I`m doin it this weekend. Thnks guyz
