Crazygirl, my family on my mother's side has used Mane and Tail on their hair and they all have beautiful thick hair. I just bought a huge bottle of the conditioner and used it a few minutes ago and my hair is tangle free and it feels very moisturized. I haven't tried the shampoo. As for it ruining horses manes, I'm not sure, but I have a husky mix and I've used the shamppo on his coarse fur and his coat always comes out nice and soft. I have African-American type coarse hair and this stuff works great for me. My friend works at an equine shop and everyone loves it there. Give it a try!

The mane and tail shampoo doesn't have the more harmful of the sulfates and as for ruining horses manes...I think not. I have 2 horses and it's all I and my friends and family (30 horses in all) use. Their conditioner is an exelent heavy conditioner. I'm always sneeking it out of the tack room and into the bathroom with me!

...Well on the flip side, many humans have had great results with Mane n Tail shampoo. and I think they make more than one variety, one of which is gentler than the other. Give it a try ... your hair might be one of the types that like it.
Anyone using this shampoo? I always see it in the grocery stores and have heard about it. Please let me know how you liked it, not liked it, etc. Thanks!
