LISTEN TO WHAT EVERYONE`S SAYING. ITS TRUE. PEROXIDE RUINS YOUR HAIR. TRUST ME YOU SERIOUSLY DON`T WANNA USE THAT STUFF. AS FOR ME I`M STILL TRYING TO GROW THIS MESS OUT. STAY WITH YOUR NATURAL HAIR COLOR.

My wife uses Sun - In but mixes it 1/2 and 1/2 with Infusium leave in conditioner. She has gotten great results with it and has not damaged her hair. It turned her brown hair into a lovely golden blonde. She uses the kind you can blow dry and does it daily - just a couple of squirts... She also uses Sheer Blonde shampoo and conditioner to help bring out the natural highlights. The best would be to have a salon do it but if you can`t then this might be a way. (My wife doesn`t like going to a salon)
Do NOT use that junk on your hair!!! As a salon stylist, I have seen some really bad stuff happen, as a result of using peroxide, sun in, or salon selectives lighten up on it. For one thing, it NEVER EVER comes out of your hair..it has to be cut off. If you would ever get a PERM over top of it, it will melt your hair. (the chemicals do NOT mix). I wish there were warning labels on those products! Like the other person on here said..do it professionally, or don`t do it at all. Your mom is just looking out for YOU.

I`ve used peroxide in my hair before. If you`re going to use somethign cheap like peroxide, I`d suggest you make a trip to wal-mart/target or whatever, and get some Salon Selectives Lighten-Up. It`s the same as peroxide, but it contains conditioners. Peroxide is very harsh. Once you`ve used it, you can`t get you`re original hair color back unless you grow it out. Maybe try taking a few select pieces at first and just do your own highlights before you`d do your whole head.
okay, so your friend got good results, but peroxide is dangerous and iffy stuff. You shouldn`t really mess around with it at home. So your mum doesn`t want you to use it? think, could they be a reason??? she doesn`t want you to be hurt if it does go wrong, (almost certainly will btw). Get it done professionally, or not at all. You can always play around with coloured waxes if you want a more sunkissed look, but try to love your brown hair, I`m dying my hair your colour because I hate my blonde!!!!
Hi everyone- I`m 16 years old and I have medium brown hair and I won`t to go blonde, but my mom won`t allow me to dye it. One of my friends whos color is about the same as mine put peroxide streaks in her hair and then went out in the sun for about two hours and it turned the parts that she highlighted a really pretty golden blonde color. I also heard if you blow dry your hair with it, it will even get blonder. Has anyone ever used peroxide? And, how much do you use? How can you get the best results? How long should you leave it in? Thanks!
