umm im not familiar with hair products especially shampoos/conditioner etc but what are toner? Are they especially designed for colour treated hair?

Um, Si what kind of toner did you use? What color was it?
Blue toner is for orange hair, if your hair is not orange it won`t do anything for you.
Yellow hair needs purple toner. Maybe you`re not leaving it in long enough? Toner usually doesn`t damage your hair. Dyes do that normally. You could also try some purple shampoo from paul mitchell for blondes.
Also, your bleach or dye that you used might have had some kind of metals in it that will cling to your hair and will not let your hair go any lighter or darker. Never use sun in by the way, that`s asking for your hair never to get to that color you want it to be. It will make your hair perminately orange or yellow.

If you want it really badly you should talk to a hair expert person and they might tell you what to do. If there was white hair dye it could probably turn your hair white.

Well, im so unimpressed with ma hair, it aint gonna go white, well without completeley fookin me hair, so im just gonna leave it where it is, i did it again but it didnt really go much lighter, maybe ma hair will go naturally a lot lighter sooner so i can do agen for gr8er success!!!

Hey, well just to let u guys know i decided to give ma hair till next sat, im too scared of killing ma hair an it falling out! the colour it is now is really kool i like it loads, but ill still go on further to reach white next week!

hey, yeh is goin good, been usin the toner stuff each day, and it gets lighter each time, but yeh givin till sat to do again, its a really light blonde more yellow thean orange, and hell yeh ill post pics when were done!!!!

Was it really damaged when you did it?
I want to bleach my hair blonde at some stage but my hair is black so I guess the amount of damage would end up the same.

Hope it goes well and post pictures if you want I`d love to see pure white hair that isn`t really old looking.

Does it have any yellow or orange tones in it?

It`s interesting becuase most people who try this aren`t successful or are too afraid do it all the way. :)

Yo guys!
well i did it today was soonest i could...n e way!,
well i bleached it for canni while, then used ma white hair dye/toner, its came out as a really light blonde, so im givin ma hair till sat, time to recover then im doing ma process again!!!!
but so far it lookin promising!!

I think white hair is really cool, but I don`t think we`ll be hearing back from him/her as we didn`t from the last person who wanted to bleach their hair white. Maybe there`s a "White hole" involved =P

Just something to know, unless your hair is naturally red it won`t turn white in 30-40 years. Usually it just goes salt and pepper for the other colors.

White hair would look neat on a young person I must admit, but it`s very difficult to do without risking your whole entire head of hair. It just a young person won`t look old with white hair.

Si, how did everything go? Is your hair orange like I thought it would be? yellow? use toner? eh? I`d be surprised if you got it white in one night.

My advice is wiat about 30 - 40 years and it will be permantly white. I would say don`t dye it enjoy color while you have it

As much as it takes, you won`t know untill you see what color it changes after you bleach it. If it turns ornage you need more bleach or you need blue toner if it turns yellow, you need purple toner.

the process:-
1,i bleach my hair to a pretty light colour,
2,then add toner....how much?

Yes, toner can be blue too (I`ve mentioned that in a different post with the same title)

But the BLUE toner cancels out the ORANGE tones. The PURPLE cancels out the YELLOW tones.

Do you get it?
That`s why if you`re dying your hair blue your hair could turn green because the yellow tones haven`t been canceld out by purple.

Er, toner might be blue too- Usually they have to do a blue rinse to get to that platinum color.

But I could be wrong :)
