I've been cutting & dying my own hair for the past 9 years. I've gone through an obscene number of colours & cuts too. now i wouldn't fancy myself an expert by any stretch but i am competant enough to never, ever have to spend money on a stylist or colorist.

Cutting your hair yourself is risky, but it's not a bad skill to have. If you cut
only a little, and very carefully, the first time, you will make less of a
mistake if you make one. It's worth not going to a salon where they might
badger you to cut more than you want (especially as you reach middle age),
hack off more than they said they would, spray gunk on your hair and if
their hygiene is not high, maybe even give you dandruff or a worse scalp
infection. The website looks interesting, if you are VERY careful, and don't
cut too much, and are very concentrated, it may just be worth it. Good luck.

1st off i wouldn`t even try to cut my hair myself, until you`ve been to beauty school then i would maybe consider it, if you mess up then you`ll have no one 2 blame but yourself, even experience stylists get their hair cut by someone else! i would just make sure you know what your doing before you cut you hair! just my opinion! hope everything works out okay!

Bend over, gather your hair in a ponytail 4-6 inches above your hairline (just above your forehead), put a rubber band around it, cut with very sharp scissors. Result - very nice layered hair style 5-8 inches below your shoulders - so I`ve read.
