Thanks for the insight . i've decided that a perm just isn't for me . i've just gotten bored with my hair these days and was more thinking out loud (in type?) than anything else heh

I would never try a home perm. To many things can go wrong. You should go to a professional. Perms can damage your hair. Even pros can make a mistake. Don't trust a home perm kit in the hands of an amature.

I have 5" long, straight, black, somewhat oriental hair. I'm 1/2 japaneese, though other than my hair, i don't look japaneese at all. hehehe. My hair responds very very well to dyes of all sorts and heavy chemical treatment. i'm lucky like that.
Well i'm sick of my boring, plain, straight hair and would like to get some nice curls/waves going.
My question is this, with the information provided, or more if needed, would i be a good candidate for either a home perm kit or professional preming?
I have been dying/bleaching & cutting my hair for the past 9 years with not ever a bad result. I'm very inclined to go out and pick up a home perm kit.
