kato and the eggs?? Lol please share! And my hair color is working out great! I used Revlon Light Mahogany Brown and I'm not sure the bleach I used but I think it was loreal. Right now its pretty much all brown with just light, natural looking highlights. If I use vinegar the highlights will stand out more.

Hey Amber!

How's your new hair color working out for you? What brand of hair color did you use? I dyed my hair about 3 weeks ago with some L'Oreal Excellence permanent hair color and the results were somewhat shaky. It was the shade of brown I wanted but after awhile it got incredibly brassy (because I dyed it over some highlights). Luckily though, I went to the salon and got highlights and lowlights to even things out and now it looks great! Keep us updated!

Wow!! Has anyone ever used BAKING SODA in their shampoo?? I read it in a mag. and so i put about 2 teaspoons in my palm and then added the usual amount of shampoo I use. My hair felt REALLY awful after I rinsed but then I conditioned as usual and WOW!!!!!! My hair held the tantalizing scent of my conditioner all day, my hair looked shiny and healthy, and it held style for almost two days without touch-ups! Amazing!!!

Hey Amber,

Oh, that's different then; with all the strange stuff people put on their hair, ya never know...I just had this image of bleach in your eyes, ears, what have you.

To answer your question, I do think it's the number of posts you submit. Don't take that as gospel but I'm pretty sure of it.

I've never tried vinegar, but I hear it's good for hair.

peace,

Jean

No I mean we bought a blonde bleaching kit and bleached it. My hair was almost white (if anyone watches Buffy, my hair was the color of Spikes ) but it looks so great and I'm really happy! It did burn when I bleached it but thats normal. Using nutrasweet (ex: Sweet N' Low) helps reduce the burning.
Oh, anyways I found an older issue of Cosmogirl with 100+ makeup and hair tips. WOW! There was a LOT of great hair tips in there!! Does anyone use VINEGAR on their hair?? I thought it'd be awful but the results....I'm speechless! My hair is BRILLANT!! I have other hair ideas I found if anyone is interested. And if anyone tries the vinegar thing, let me know how it turns out for you. I used red wine vinegar to bring out my darker tones, if you're blonde use white vinegar!

Edit: How do you become a senior member? Or veteran member? Does it matter on the number of posts? :)

Hey well I did it and it turned out surprisingly well. We bleached it for about 35 minutes (i was sooo impatient) and then the next day we did the brown. I LOVE it. It needed a little fixing due to spots underneath but after that it looked GREAT. And I used Fructis 3 Minute Masque and my hair is so soft and it looks a lot less frizzy. I'm really happy with the results, even with as nervous as I was

I have absolutely NO money. I have a thing of bleach and my sister is willing to buy the brown dye. I'm 15 and, as shallow as it is, looking good is one of my top priorities. My hair is orangish yellow. Low-lighting will be hopefully the last thing I'll ever need to do to it. My ends aren't all that bad (they're trimmed every 4 weeks or so)
Sunday is the night because its the only free night me and my sister have together for her to do this. My hair is REALLY frizzy, thats the only reason I know it must be really damaged. On the good days when its not frizzy it looks perfectly healthy and it always feels great. I really wish I could go see a stylist but with the high prices around here and the limited transportation I have, its impossible.

Its hard to diagnose this problem without seeing it. One warning I can give you is that if your ends are very dry, it will grab the undertone of the color. For example, if you use medium ash brown the base tone is green and yes it will turn your ends green. Even some natural shades may have an undertone that sides with the ash side.

Why can't you see a pro? Why does it have to be Sunday night?

Sunday night I'm planning on low-lighting my hair. My hair is pretty damaged from me personally dying it about 30 times in the past four years. The last time I did anything to it was about five weeks ago (I highlighted it) I have medium brown hair about shoulder length. I want to lowlight it. Should I bleach and then do the brown high lights or....?? Also does anyone have any special recommendations as to shampoos that will help replenish my hair? I've tried Pantene Pro-V, Charles Worthington, and Herbal Essences. Any specific hair masks any one likes?? Please if you're reading this REPLY! Even if its something negative as to tell me that I should just shave my head because I'm screwed! I can't go see a hair dresser so I'm doing this my self. So if you can give me any low-lighting tips, conditioning tips, ANYTHING I'd much appreciate it! ALL comments NEEDED before sunday night!! Thanks!
