My hair is similar-- actually, one of the reasons I like it short is because the weight of longer hair pulls it down and makes it look flatter and thinner. Fine or thin hair generally looks thicker if it's shorter, or at least has a few shorter layers if it's longer (I have a friend with long, fine hair who was very opposed to layers, until she got some and saw how much better it looked). If your hair gets greasy easily, remember to wash it often (every day, if it needs it; every second or third day if it still looks all right) and try not to touch it all the time. Constantly playing with or running your fingers through your hair makes it greasier sooner. Also, use as little styling product as you can get away with, as any extra can weigh hair down or make it look greasy.
