Hi Tamara,Welcome to our board. It is great to have you.Hair breakage can definitely occur from stress or tight pulling on the scalp. Human hair goes through various growth cycles and it can often take 6 months to a year for hair that is broken off or stressed to grow back. The key is to be very careful with the baby fine hair that does come back initially.Think of the new baby hair as delicate as old lace and be sure to use the most gentle hair care products and avoid using hot hair styling tools.A great book that helped me personally is Riquette's Grow Hair In 12 Weeks Book that I have reviewed in our bookstore. I have included the URL below.Good luck with regrowing your hair. Unfortunately patience will be needed since hair definitely grows at its own pace and according to your body's genetic makeup.Regards,Karen> Hi, I'm Tamara and I m new to this board.> I have a problem with breakage in the front or> my hairline. Hi, I'm Tamara and I m new to this board. I have a problem with breakage in the front or my hairline. I think it is due to stress like curling irons on bangs and high pony tails that were too tight. I have stopped both pratices, but the hair hasn't really grown back. If it does, it falls out very quickly and there a very few hairs anyway. If there anything I can do or treatment I can use to regrow my "baby hair" that define my hair line.My friend has the same problem except in the temple area. The hair was pulled out because of excessively tight micro-braids which she used to wear. She now has a relaxer. If there is anything eith of us can do to regrow out hair, please let us know.
