Try Paul Mitchell- "The Detangler". I love it. All you need to do is shampoo, put The Detangler on, rinse, run your fingers through your hair, dry and Go. It's so easy. It's the best!!!!!>

> Try using Nisim Spray Conditioner. This is a leave in conditioner which works great! It is also an unbeleivable detangler. I use it on the kids all the time.
Thank you, Leilani and Karen, for your suggestions.I agree that the more slippery the detangler, the less resistance is during detangling. That Biolage stuff worked quite well for me in this respect. But I have also recently realized that I want (and need) to use a leave-in conditioner, as my hair gets dry even though I live in a very humid climate (it could be the perpetual A/C). For me, clean (crispy) dry hair is bad (crunchy), but cleaned with a slight amount of conditioner makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in terms of its appeal.I have used a spray-on detangler before and I didn't like this as a method of applying the product... but the fact that the Aveda Styling Curressence works as both a detangler and a leave-in conditioner sounds to me like the proverbial "killing two birds with one stone."I'm going to try it (along with any trial sizes of chamomille shampoo and conditioner they have), as soon as I get to that Aveda store across town...
Hi,Thanks for the tip. I am wondering what other hair care products you use for your hair? Do you also use the Aussie shampoo? Which one? I always love hearing about products that are good. I can honestly say that I have not tried the Aussie brand and am curious about their other products. Thanks again.Karen> Hi Dave,> In response to your question regarding a> good detangler, I have found that Aussie Slip> Detangler works very well for me. Hi Dave,In response to your question regarding a good detangler, I have found that Aussie Slip Detangler works very well for me. In fact, It is one of few products on the market that I would take to a deserted island. I am black and my hair is curly to the nth degree. My hair reaches the middle of my back. When I wash it, it is very important that the hair stays smooth as possible to prevent tangles and breakage. I don't know how you feel about drugstore products, but this is absolutely the most slippery stuff that I have ever dealt with. I use it in the shower to detangle just shampooed hair before deep conditioning. Even when my hair is extremely tangled I can apply the detangler and the hairs just slip right through one another. Works for me, I hope you find what works best for you. Leilani
Hi Dave,Yes of course....I remember Aveda. As I said before, I am not abandoning Aveda...just testing and enjoying ARTec. By the way...here I am past 7 days and still loving this ARTec product.I keep switching back and forth between the ARTec Kiwi and Smoothing and tomorrow I will try the Volume shampoo. Did I mention I love the Kiwi? :-)Be sure and read my review of ABBA (will be posted soon) and you will see why I am so hot about ARTec. :-)Yes, in terms of detangling...Aveda has the Styling Curressence spray. I love that stuff. A few shots of that Curressence spray and my hair is easy to pick out. Also, I find that if I use the Deep Conditioner or the Curressence conditioner as my rinse out conditioner (Cher can tell you lots about that product) my hair is almost tangle free before I get finished in the shower so than I don't need a special de-tangler.Rosemary Mint NEVER worked for me. It left my hair feeling kind of stiff. It is probably one of the few Aveda products that didn't work on my hair. I find the Aveda Elixer to help detangle my hair even though it is designed as a heat protectant.Bain de Terre has a great de-tangler that I played with for awhile and Ecoly has a good de-tangler. I actually like the Joico detangler I am currently playing with.I have not tried the products you mention Dave, but I will add it to my list. :-)> Hi Everybody,> I have a question about the Aveda line of> products... what with all the talk about ARTec,> I wonder if anybody remembers a brand named "Aveda?"> ;-)> Matrix' Systeme Biolage is the best detangler> that I have ever used. Hi Everybody,I have a question about the Aveda line of products... what with all the talk about ARTec, I wonder if anybody remembers a brand named "Aveda?" ;-)Matrix' Systeme Biolage is the best detangler that I have ever used. The Paul Mitchell works pretty well for me too. So I was curious to know what Aveda has to offer.I examined the Aveda catalog for a detangler, and found two products described as giving detangling benefits: Styling Curressence and Rosemary/Mint conditioner. The Emollient is also described as making hair "easy to comb," but I'm not sure they mean "when wet."I would like to know, from the experiences of those who have used these products, how well these products work at detangling wet hair? And, regardless of brand, what specific detangling product(s) have you found to be most effective? I really don't know if hair texture is a factor, but mine is medium textured and straight, with a slight tendency to wave near the ends. Thanks in advance for your insights,Dave
