I do not have long hair, but a cheekbone length bob, but when I switched to a satin pillow case I stopped getting split ends. Also, my hair, in addition to being healthier, seemed more "well behaved" in the morning and I could go more often without washing/restyling (which, of course, is damaging).Go for the satin!Karen>
Hi Clare! It looks like you may have the right idea with your cotton pillow case theory. Many women with longer hair like to switch to using satin pillow cases to avoid this problem.Robin-AnnP.S. Good Luck!

I notice when I wake up that the cuticles of my hair, especially the underside, look roughed up and kind of frizzy. Could this happen from just sleeping, or maybe having a average cotton pillow case? Any suggestions? Also, I know this is a little off-subject, but if its not a problem, would people mind posting some homemade skin care recipes? Thanks, Clare
