Yes, definitely do try a longer conditioning session..especially on those ends. In my traveling around and talking to the Aveda people..I have also heard two different stylists say you can use it as a leave in conditioner also. I did try this on a few of the areas of my hair that were super dry and it worked fine. Of course, you rub just a tiny amount in..not like what I do when I am going to rinse out later. I have heard contrasting remarks about this from different stylists but I figured what's the harm? Maybe greasy hair after a day or two.. but it worked fine and I can imagine a tiny amount on the ladies super long ends would be beneficial. It's like everything else..somethings work for one and not another. But I do know if Curessence is agreeable to you.. you will benefit from a long conditioning session.. best regards..Cheryl> I'm sorry,Cher. I just assumed (and I really do know better than to assume) that when you said you left it on for 2 hours or longer, that you did it before washing. But I can see how much it worked after only five minutes. Maybe I will try leaving it on longer. Thanks for the info.Noreen

I have never used the Curessence as a "pre-conditioner"..maybe you are thinking of me using the Beautifying oil like that. I always wash first then use the Curessence but I have found the longer you leave it the better your hair feels. Next time, try leaving the Curessence on for 2 hours. It will give you the conditioning treatment of your dreams! I have not tried the Confixer yet.. Cher> Karen & Cher,> I have to tell you about what I did this> weekend. Noreen,WOW. Thanks for sharing the Aveda experience. I can tell you that the Confixer is awesome. So is the Curessence. I think the Curessence made your hair so soft and the Confixer gave you the great waves.A male friend of mine used to use Aussie shampoo and then hair spray. Well I made him try the Aveda Blue Malva and the Curessence conditioner (once a week). Then I got him to try the Confixer instead of hairspray. His hair looked totally awesome. He got something like 10 compliments the first day at work. When I was testing Abba and Aura I offered him my leftovers. He refused and said that he loved Aveda more than any other product he had used and would not take free test products. He bought 2 huge bottles of Confixer and Curressence and keeps one "just in case".Also Noreen I use Confixer to slick back the sides of my hair and my bangs. It is awesome. Holds all day.Yes...I love this stuff Noreen. Thanks for sharing. I bet your hair was gorgeous. I just wish you had photos to share with all of us. :-)However, I do remember your hair from before so I just pictured in my head your gorgeous waves instead.Have a great evening. :-)Karen> Karen & Cher,> I have to tell you about what I did this> weekend. Karen & Cher,I have to tell you about what I did this weekend. I was out of Aveda Color Conditioner so I went to the mall to pick some up. I did buy some, but I also picked up some Curessence, Confixor, a hand made Kent comb and a new boars bristle brush.Anyway, when I got home I decided to try the Curessence. I didn't use it as a pre-conditioner as Cher does, but as an after shampoo conditioner. I did leave it on for the full 5 minutes, though, before rinsing. Then, because I wanted to try something a bit different with my hair, I applied the Confixor and braided my hair into 5 braids and let it dry over night. I was so happy today when I took out the braids and found my hair to be very soft. I have never used a styling product that didn't leave my hair stiff or tacky feeling before. The waves that the braids left are not frizzy at all like they can be when they first come out, either. I am so happy with this that my mind is filling with endless possibilities. Is the Confixor always this nice or was it the Curressence?I just got back from the grocery store and I've never gotten so many comments on my hair. Everyone seemed to notice. Anyway, thanks for recommending the Curessence and for listening to my estatic ravings...:-)Noreen
