I often have the same problem with my hair, although it's pretty long. First of all, if you blow dry, make sure you use a diffuser. Otherwise there is no hope for you. One product I have tried and liked (for some reasons, it works better some times than others) and is not too expensive is by AURA, which is a generic version of Aveda that you can buy at Taylormaid Beauty Supply. It's a sort of leave-in conditioner/gel that call an "elixir". It defines the curl really well without weighing it down or making it feel sticky like gel does. It smells good too. Of course, it doesn't do anything for hold or volume, you have to use gel for that, but it's the best thing I've found for eliminating the frizzies.

Hi Linda! I, like you, have a head full of naturally curly hair. My hair used to be so hard to manage until my hairdresser suggested using a diffuser on my blow dryer. I use Herbal Essences mousse throughout my hair and then blow dry with the diffuser attached to my dryer. It has made my hair much more manageable in that it is not frizzy, but only curly and shiny. My hair is naturaly curly....If I let it dry natrual it tends to frizz with dry spots and extra curly spots. If I blow dry it... the curls go away.. but it is wavy in some spots and straight in others. I had worn in it a ponytail for years with the front and side cut short. But recently I decided to cut it short.. thinking I could wash and go.. but I still have the same problem.. it looks dry and hay like in some spots and curly in others. What is a good product for me to use conditioning or after washing that I may or may not have to rinse out?
