I have had it quite short as well. I find it more manageable when it's longer. Why? For several reasons. When it's very short I get 'bed head' and have to style it every morning if I don't want to look like a homeless person. When it's long I can just brush it out and go. My hair develops a mind of it's own when it's short and sticks out in all different directions, there's no way I can just finger it into place. When I keep it long the weight tends to temper the wave and it lays better. Also I hate to take the time to blow-dry it all the time, but when it's shorter I have to, when it's long I can just let it air-dry and it goes just fine. My idea of styling it is putting it up into a pony tail or bun or braids and none of those take very long at all (even a french twist is pretty quick when you know how to do it).As another example take my mom... she has much different hair from me. Her hair is very fine with a slight wave that develops when it gets long. When her hair was long, she'd just put it up in a bun and go to work... now that it's shorter she has to set it every morning to get it to look right. She likes it better, because she's able to make it fuller, but it is somewhat more work. (However after 10 years of it short she's pretty much got the routine down to a minimum time-wise.)However YOUR hair may well be different. It all depends on the texture of your hair and the kind of look you're going for.-jennifer jP.S. There's getting to be WAY to many Jennifers on this board so I'll be using my last inital from now on. :-)

Yes, it's much easier to style. Since I cut my hair short I haven't used a blow dryer or a curling iron. My hair is really healthy too. But I do want my hair long again, I can't wear a pony tail,a braid, bun ect. Amber> Everybody keeps saying short hair takes longer> to fix, isn't it the opposite? Everybody keeps saying short hair takes longer to fix, isn't it the opposite? I have medium length hair and I spend almost half an hour blowdrying and styling, if I had short hair couldn't I just finger it in place with some gel in a couple of minutes?
