Dear PK,have the same problem as you regarding the dry straw hair, except that mine is thick and coarse. My hair is so thick that I've had to straighten it to look flatter! I have found that blowdrying is bad for the hair and have been off it for 3 weeks now. Further, any extra heat on the hair is damaging like curling irons so try not to use them. My problem is layers which I am trying to grow out - they look like dried seaweed on the ends and are really frizzy. I am not sure whether to trim them as the unlayered hair beneath is healthy. It seems such a waste to cut off the dry layered parts as i am trying to grow it long and will probably have to trim the good parts off as well unless I want 2-step hair! Do you have the same problem with layers as well?Christine
PK, first of all, quit with the blowdryer which can be really rough on fine, thin hair especially. You mention that you wash your hair every morning but do you also condition? If you want to fix your hair I would say, condition, condition, condition and definately stop all the practices that lead to damage in the first place. There are lots of good products out there, find one that works for you and go check out Karens tips and articles section, tons of great advice from many people there.Good luck!Dawn
Is there anything that will help thin, fine, DRY hair? I do have a weave, but it's always been very dry.I wash and blow dry my hair everyday. I've tried the "skip a day", but believe me....my hair is so fine and thin that when I wake up from sleeping on it, I had better wet and "fix it". I couldn't go out in public the way my hair looks in the mornings. I used to use the curling iron everyday. I have since bought velcro rollers to cut down on the use of a curling iron.Is there any shampoo, conditioner, anything that I can do in order to have even halfway healthy hair?HELP!!!!!
