Two great solutions below Kat, I like to do a modified Gibson girl thing sometimes myself, its very fluffy and soft feeling. How about out of the face without putting it up by using a deep side part and a lovely braid across the top and down the other side. This is one of my favorite styles and looks very elegant in almost any setting, plus not a hair will get in your face all day. Check out Tamaras cool articles if you haven't tried these braids before.Good luck!Best wishes to all,DawnOkay> Here's the probolem. Hello Kat.I'm not sure of your definition of mid-length hair. Collar-bone length? Or slightly longer? If it's long enough, you may want to try a sort of Gibson Girl style. For a simple version, pull your hair into a very high ponytail (pretty much on top of your head). Leave the ponytail pretty loose so that it forms a "pouf" around your face. Twist the tail into a bun and pin in place. If your hair isn't quite long enough to twist into a bun, you may want to consider buying a small donut shaped rat (rats are foam shapes that are used to style hair over and can usually be purchased at a beauty supply store) to form the bun over. If your hair is very fine or doesn't have much body, you may want to use hot rollers before putting your hair up to help achieve some fullness.Hope this helps,Teresa

Then let down a few whispy strands of hair around the face to soften. Also consider bangs if you don't have any.
