Another to try is Paul Mittchell "The Detangler" If your hair is becoming matted or tangled when dry from things like wind from motorcycle/boat riding bed head, etc. I highly recommend "dry detangling" while the hair is in its hardened strong state. I cringe at the thought of wetting down knotted hair even after using a good detangler, there is alot of stretching and stressing of the hair when you comb out the knots. > no moreDear Serena,I have used Infusium 23 Leave-In Conditioning Treatment forseveral years with excellent results. The tangles fall out of my hair which is normal to dry. The product has several "-cones" in it, but I have had no problems with buildup of any kind.Jade21

> no moreI have alternated between ARTec's Kiwi detangler (awesome) and Aveda's Styling Curessence. Also awesome. I have also used Joico's (pretty good) and am currently testing a new one. Bain de Terre makes a good one and so does KMS. The only to look for is to make sure it doesn't have a lot of "cone" anything or it may coat the hair and cause some buildup.I have been using ARTec for over 1 year and Aveda forever and ever. Neither causes any sort of buildup. At least on my hair. :-)Karen
