In addition to Karen's recommendation, you may also want to go to a dermatologist to see if there's any prescription medication that would help your condition. It may be that the particular patch on your head has a different pigmentation or psoriasis or something going on that could be treated. Hi,I sometimes have a little patch of itchy scalp at the very middle of my nape of my neck. Aveda's Beautyifying Oil works great to soothe it, soften it and eliminate the problem completely in no time.Another natural remedy..that works..but that is terribly messy...is to massage a little natural honey into the dry patch. You should see results pretty quick. Honey is also great for dry skin. The problem is that it is so messy. After you massage the honey in, apply a shower cap and let it soak overnite. Shampoo with a moisturizing shampoo like ARTec Smoothing or Aveda Shampure the next morning. Be sure to use a cold water rinse to seal in the new moisture. You may want to bypass the mess and go straight for the Aveda Beautifying Oil. Works fabulous. Just ask Noreen or Cher of this board. :-)I have used the Beautifying Oil both with and without the shower cap routine. Both work great. The honey also works but very drippy.Best wishes,Karen> Ever since I was a kid I have had a severe dry patch> of hair in the back of my head. Ever since I was a kid I have had a severe dry patch of hair in the back of my head. When the layers finally grew out it was a little more controlable, but now it seems to be back again. Since I have very curly hair that one spot always looks horribly firzzy. Does anyone have a tip for me. My hair is also long, the rest of it is very healthy, it is just that one spot.
