Hi There !I've always had very dark brown hair that I've worn in a bob and since my hair is quite wavy - I have it relaxed every 4 months to make it easy to blowdry and maintain. With the exception of a few split ends my hair is healthy and shiny . Howver, everyone has been urging me to make a change - so I've started growing my hair and have had it softly layered - but I still don't look really different ! I want to try going RED / AUBURN but am afraid that the tint will damage my hair. Should I put in highlights instead and then an auburn colour rinse to minimise the damage ? My stylist says since my hair is so dark ( nearly black ) she is going to have strip the colour and then tint to get the rich auburn colour I want ... 1or two shade lighter won't make me look that different and it's a new year - time for a new look - but I'm not going to damage my very carefully maintained hair if I can help it ....What do I do ??? Please let me know soonest as my appointment is on Wednesday !!!!
