What I do to hold my style is twist it when it is wet or damp and you might want to put a little gel in it for extra hold. Apply more gel it in if you plan to leave it in for a while. Secure it with rubber bands at the top or coil it tightly at the end and then a put a bobby pin in it. If you still have trouble let me know but if it is wet you shouldn't have much trouble.

Be careful doing anything with rubber bands since they can snap off your hair really easily! Maybe a nice soft style off the face with a little gel or hairspray holding your bangs back (with pretty combs or barettes as accents) would be a better solution for you. Also using a volumizing shampoo... Not the best thing for your hair, but maybe teasing a bit for volume for a dressy style for a wedding if your hair's thin. If you are talking about flat twists, they are a non- braiders answer to corn rows. You take a section of the hair and kind of roll them down against the scalp. I dont know if that is what you mean though. That is what your description sounds like though. Let me know.

I have to go to a wedding and I was wanting something different. I have seen on TV, alot, women who have their hair seperated in the front into small sections and I guess each section is in a rubber band? pulled back towards the top back part of their head. I have started to let my bangs grow so there is not much I can do with my hair. Also it is very thin and unmanageable!! Is this it? Any tips on doing it and what should I do with the back of my hair? Help!!I am tired of looking like a rag muffin!
