Hi Roberta! Before you go out and buy Aveda, I seriously suggest that you try the ARTec Moisture-Pac! You can read Karen's review on it-- and I promise you-- this is one heavy-duty conditioner, especially when used with heat and a plastic cap!About Aveda, I have used almost everything of theirs from Shampure and the Deep Penetrating, to the entire new Perfume Brilliant Line. I have to say, that while the Deep Penetrating is an excellent heavy-duty conditioner (and what I used to reccomend before I found the Moisture-Pac), I just can't get over ARTec(maybe it's the smell, but I'm addicted). Seriously though, I also tend to find the Smoothing Shampoo not quite as moisturizing as I hoped for, and it doesn't lather well, but it DOES clean! The Smoothing Conditioner is awesome, but for my damage I treat my hair to the Moisture-Pac twice a week, for that extra conditioning boost! Find it at the WWBS!Sherry

My hair is really more damaged than just dry and I think it's partly from shampooing too much with bad shampoos. Would you suggest I stick with the smoothing shampoo and conditioner? How long should I leave the conditioner in? Should I be using a leave-in conditioner too or just get a heavier regular conditioner. Lately even after using the smoothing conditioner I can't get a comb thru my hair. What's in the ARTec moisture pak I've been reading about? Would that help? Are Aveda products more moisturizing than ARTec?

I found the Kiwi to be more drying but do love the aroma. I alternate it as Karen does & it works well for me. My hair is color processed - so it is dry too.Pamela> Hi,> Funny you should mention the Kiwi. Hi,Funny you should mention the Kiwi. I am getting ready to write a complete review of it and I have used it personally off and on for about 1 year.I love the smell. It is so incredible. However, my hair is highlighted and I can only handle using the Kiwi shampoo about 3x a week. It is definitely not as moisturizing as ARTec's Smoothing. It is also less moisturizing than the Aveda Shampure.I would not recommend Kiwi to you if you have dryness problems. You could try it but be prepared for the fact that it may make you a little drier.I have a friend who has unprocessed hair and he LOVES the Kiwi. He also uses the Kiwi detangling spray, which I also use interspersed with Aveda Curessence Spray. If you decide to try it, get a small amount or buy it where you can exchange it.Of course all hair reacts differently, but I suspect you may find it more drying.Best wishes,Karen> I've been reading about everyone raving about> textureline smoothing shampoo and conditioner and I've> used it but it never seems to be moisturizing enough.> My hair is extremely damaged, especially in the back> where it's more wavy (the front is more straight)and> it still gets tangled and frizzy. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
I've been reading about everyone raving about textureline smoothing shampoo and conditioner and I've used it but it never seems to be moisturizing enough. My hair is extremely damaged, especially in the back where it's more wavy (the front is more straight)and it still gets tangled and frizzy. I've read the ingrediants on the kiwi therapy shampoo and conditioner and noticed there's a lot more oils in it and wondered if this was a better choice. I do color my hair, which is part of the reason why it's so damaged. Both are very expensive so I wanted to get some opinions before I spent more money again.
