You have strawberry-gold because you didn't take your hair down far enough. You didn't say what your natural color is, but if you are going from brown to blonde, you have to go through quite a range of scary shades to get where you want to be. You probably haven't done anything terrible--yet! Just don't mess with it any more. Go to a good salon and tell her exactly what you used and how long you kept it on your hair, or even better, take her the box. She will probably be able to bleach it down another shade or two and then put on a toner to give you the beige-y look that you want. Just a note though. If your natural color is brown and you're going to blonde and you want to keep it that way, be prepared to be her slave. You will have to touch up your roots every couple of weeks, and you'll have to have it done professionally because of the strength of the bleach/time on your hair. If you try to do it yourself and you aren't VERY practiced you'll cause enormous amounts of damage.
Once upon a time...I took it upon myslf to lighten my hair!I was going for very light beige blonde, You guessed it... now I have strawberry/gold hair, it not too bad to go out in but its Not the desired look. I tried rinsing my hair with apple cider vinegar to get the brassiness out and it did a little bit, but how do I get to where I need to be??Help!
