> Thanks for your response. Just to let you know, I gave in to the "blahs" and had my hair done. The first thing I did was let the stylist know I was pregnant. She used gentler products and gave me a brand new hair cut. My hair turned out terrific. I may try to hold out til I deliver now and just get by with a hair cut. Thanks again.!

I really do want to get it done. Any> suggestions??Hi Kathryn, there is such a big debate it seems these days over whether coloring your hair during pregnancy is harmful or not to the baby. Some things I have read suggest that small amounts of chemicals are absorbed through the scalp and eventually reach the fetus. However, I know plenty of women who continued to color their hair during pregnancy with no ill effects. I had highlighted hair & chose not to continue the highlighting until after my baby was born...just to be on the safe side. I just didn't want to take the chance. To me, it was only a few months of waiting & then I was free to do whatever I wanted with my hair. You are especially proned to the blahs now, so I totally understand your dilemma. Hey, most of our moms smoked & drank Tab AND colored their hair and we all came out fine, right? Whatever you choose, good luck w/ your pregnancy.Kelly F.
