Hi,If you have to use a blow dryer or hot curlers...then use a good leave in conditioner like Aveda Elixer or Terax spray on or even something from ARTec. I have been testing the Matrix Vavoom which is more a smoothing product but it also seems to add some protective layer for blow drying. As far as trimming...do it every 6-8 weeks or when your hair starts to look "shaggy". If the split ends are still there, use a deep conditioner on the ends a couple of times a week with your shampoo. You can't repair split ends, but you can contain them.I would not recommend any other permanent coloring process be applied to your hair until your hair recovers from the current situation except if you have a product applied ONLY to your roots to maintain your current color. If you have it applied to your roots, it will not add additional damage to your currently colored hair. The other option is to have a vegetable color applied to your entire hair in a darker blonde shade. The vegetable colors do not last permanently and wash out over time with each shampoo, but they will soften your current color and will make the growing out process a lot easier. To recover the damage from your hair, you may want to do a weekly or twice a week deep conditioning pack to your entire hair....ARTec Moisture Pac works great or you can use old fashioned olive oil.Best wishes,Karen> My hair was done blonde (from dirty blonde)at a salon,> but it was overprocessed. My hair was done blonde (from dirty blonde)at a salon, but it was overprocessed. I had to get a chin length bob cut short and layered. There are a few split ends left. I absolutely have to dry it, or air dry then curl, otherwise it looks very bad. Also the roots are growing in. I want it to grow back to a bob, so how do I do that? How often for the trim? And what can I do about getting back to my natural color that will not damage my hair more? What type of conditioning trmt?
