dandruff in beard

That stuff is quite harsh on your head much less your face. In the Muslim world, where it's required for men to have beards if they can grow them, they take care of their beard as they would their hair. They oil it (sometimes w/ pefumed oils) and comb it every day. Also tell him to try to put some water thru it several times a day. That seems to encourage healthy growth and appearance and may help w/ the dander.

This forum has been so helpful to me, maybe you can help my husband. His beard appears to have a bad case of dandruff. He has tried washing with head and shoulders, but that hasn't really helped. His skin does have a tendancy to be on the dry side, so he uses lots of lotion on his body, but its hard to get lotion through his thick whiskers. Any suggestions?
