It's funny this has come up about the HERBAL ESSENCE commercials! I was just saying to my Husband (who is British and is not familiar with these horrible ads) that I wanted to post my thoughts on the commercials. In fact, I think I will right now!:) Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this way about them.

The converse is true as well.
> I agree, I just hate the commercials, you can tell> that someone wasn't thinking 100% when they made them.So right!> Do you know of any other shampoos that do this?Actually, back in the high school gym days, I had problems with Pert Plus, Prell, and Salon Selectives for the same reasons. I also had problems with Finesse, as you mentioned. If it leaves your hair waxy, it's a safe bet that there's an ingredient in the shampoo that really ought not be there! :) I'd almost rather wash my hair with Dial liquid soap!
I agree, I just hate the commercials, you can tell that someone wasn't thinking 100% when they made them.Anyways, about the pantene, I think it strips your hair, and adds silicones and other bad stuff to it. Isn't this horrible?Imagine if they made a soap what it would do to your skin.Do you know of any other shampoos that do this?I have found that some Finesse stuff does this and I know this shouldn't happen, but I tried a Biolage conditioner once, and it left my hair with coating too!!However, Aveda doesn't, Bain De Terre doesn't, and some of the good salon brands.

I'm not sure if Vanessa Marcil plays Brenda or not, but I know that she has beautiful hair too she might be the one on the commercial.Unfortunately, even though you like this shampoo, I kind of wouldn't reccomend it because it has some pretty harsh ingredients in it, like the surfactants etc.It makes my hair fall out more than usual and it coats my hair or strips it. I think it strips your scalp to get rid of the dandruff.Another product that coats my hair is Herbal Essences, I can take my fingernail and run it up a strand of hair, and all this white stuff comes off, like wax!I stick to salon brands.I'm really glad that you found something you like and everything, but you know, maybe this one's not too good, I've heard a lot of horror stories about it and have experienced the horror myself. Its really up to you, but I know that you'll get the same results with some of the other better brands.HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!!
I used to have dandruff when I was in elementary school and so did my older brother. One day I tried his head and shoulders and needless to say, a few weeks later the problem was at bay. I hadn't used it in several years because I haven't experienced dandruff in a while. Anyway, while watching television I noticed an add for Head and Shoulders starring one of my favourite actresses..can't remember her name..you know, the one who used to play Brenda on General Hospital? She now plays someone on 90210. Anyway, I went out and bought a bottle because I've always admired her hair, and boy was I ever impressed with the results! My hair felt so clean and healthy when wet and after drying it, it had so much bounce and volume, not to mention shine and softness. I don't know if anyone can tell me about the ingredients in it, but I sure appreciated the results. I don't use it every night, about once every two weeks when my hair feels limp. It smells kind of like soap, but I dont' mind; it only adds to the clean feeling I get from using it. Anyone else with a similar experience with this product?
