hair products for curly/wavy hair

I have shoulder length layered hair that is curly/wavy. I want to get some products that I can use to create more curls. I know everyone here likes Aveda and ARTec and stuff like that, but I can usually go to the drugstore to get stuff. But maybe you could recommend some products that won't weigh down my hair and that will create curls that will hopefully stay longer than one day... Thanx for your helpRuth Ann
