I once parted my hair in the middle. It took a couple of weeks to get my hair to want to stay parted on the side. I walked around with my head tilted until my hair got used to it. One way to get it to stay and to keep it out of your way and out of your face is to part it where you want it and then put clips in. Pit a clip on each side andit should stay and your hair will get used to being parted on the side. I hope this helps. - Johannah
I am the same way! I struggled forever to get it to part on the side. Years of different stylists didn't change it but I just had my haircut by someone real good and it stays now. My cut is very layered and that might not be right for you. Something to try though is part your hair where you want it and put a tiny bit of some of that "wax" stuff where you want it to stay-that can help. Personally, I think mine would't stay because I have very heavy hair and now that so much of the bulk is gone it goes the way I want it to now!Good luck,Shannon
I'm 27, and ever since I was a little girl my hair has always been parted straight down the middle. For a change of look, I have been trying to part it on the side. However, regardless of what style I try in the morning, my hair seems to naturally part it's way down the middle by the afternoon. Also, when I come out of the shower after washing my hair, it's automatically parted in the middle, even though I brushed it all back before entering. Is it possible that repeated parting damaged hair follicles down the middle of my head? I remeber reading in another bulletin board, that parting on the right was the healthiest, although it didn't explai why. Any suggestions as to how to change my hair's natural tendancy to go the middle of the road?
