Hi Trey!OK, first of all, perhaps I wasn't quite clear about the pytodefrisent-- I recall that I said that it really beats the frizz and it DOES, however, it doesn't really have any conditioning properties. I would seriously suggest using it in combination with either Sebastian Potion 9 or Mitchell's The Creme. That way, you get major conditioning and very light control (Potion 9 and The Creme) with super frizz busting power (Phytodefrisent). Phytodefrisent is made by Phytologie aka Phytotherathrie. Here is the scary part, Phyto products are only sold in salons that charge over $32 for a haircut. Expect to pay about $17.00 for a 5 oz tube (this is the largest size). You will not find any phyto products at your beauty supply store or the standard salon. I am betting that Boston has a salon that sells this stuff. Just think of the best salon in town, probably on the more expensive side, and give them a call. I believe that Phyto is also available at Neiman Marcus. I buy my Phyttodefrisent from the World Wide Beauty Strore on the internet. Their URL is : www.wwbeautystore.comThey charge $17 for a 5 oz tube. You can find Sebatian Potion 9 and The Creme at your local salon or definately at a Trade Secret store. The URL for naturally curly is: www.naturallycurly.comI hope that this helps! If you need more info, just let me know!Sherry~Related Link:Naturally Curly
> Thank you so much for your tips I can't wait totry some of them.I did not get the URL for curly heads though maybeyou could resend that. Also the last conditionercalled Phytodefriesent sounds great but to tell youthe truth I have never heard of it. Can you name a storethat might have it I don't know what state your inbut I'm in Boston and hopefully we have some stores incommon. Thanks again for all your help.
Hi Trey,Curly hair is my expertise! I have loose curly hair which I have been fighting with all my life. I've colored, relaxed, and cut it to try and make it more manageable-- but NOT fighting it, is what I have found most helpful. First of all, you will not damage your hair in ANY way by letting it air dry naturally! On the contrary, you will keep it very healthful by forgoing blowdryers and curling irons! Now, about that conditioner-- there are a few that you could try. You asked for just a leave-in that conditions and controls, so I wont even go into gels/mousses. There are a couple of products out there that both condition and control. The first is an old time tested stand by for curls called Sebastian Potion 9! It conditions and provides light hold. A new take on Potion 9 is Paul Mitchell's The Creme- this product has similar effect to Potion 9. Paul Mitchell also makes a styling foam called 'Sculpting Foam with Conditioners'. This product provides medium hold with condition. You may also want to give Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom a try-- very light hold, but really keeps the frizz at bay. For ultimate frizz control WITHOUT hold, nothing is better than Phytodefrisent! Please also check out the Naturally Curly site on the web.
