Hi Tara,I agree with Serena. Your hair may be dry or require special care. The 2 for 1 deals definitely don't work very well for hair that needs special care. I have had great luck...as Serena mentions...using a more expensive shampoo with a less expensive conditioner which I can lather on (like ARTec Smoothing shampoo + Nature's Gate) or vice versa. I know it may be a pain to have to buy one of each, but your hair will probably love you for it.Best wishes,Karen> Hi Tara. Your freind may very well have a different> hair type than you. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
Hi Tara. Your freind may very well have a different hair type than you. Sales of these 2 in 1 products have dipped recently because many people do not feel that they clean or condition well and that they build up on the hair becuse they all contain silicone. That is why Pantene has started selling 'just shampoo' in it's new ultra-V line. I could never survive without a seperate shampoo and conditioner. My roots would get weighed down and my ends would get really dry. If you are concered about cost try experimenting with inexpensive products like Nature's Gate or Suave. Some people get good results using a cheap shampoo and a more expensive conditioner or cheap conditioner with an expensive shampoo. I hope this helps.

Is it a good idea to use products that combine the shampoo with the conditioner? My friend swears that it is a great way to save money but her hair always looks dry and flyaway and pretty awful. I have always resisted but she insists. What is the primary opinion about this? Thanks
