Jade21,Thanks for replying. I am going to a salon next week for a consultation. It sounds like a good one but I really don't know.I am not going to do the perm at home with the friend because of the mistakes I made when I relaxed it at home(Really, really, bad thing to do).I have never heard of curl enhancing shampoo. I am using a curl enhancing mist but it has alcohol in it. I will look around at the store for something that does the same thing but without alcohol in it.So I am going to let it grow out before I do anything chemically. Thanks lots :)Kim> From all your hesitation in the message, I think you> answered your own question. I have chin length naturally wavy hair. I had chemically relaxed it for a few months but the relaxer made my hair feel so yucky I stopped(This was over six months ago). Now I would like curlier hair but can't seem to get curly hair with styling products and I really don't want to use a curling iron all the time. But I am worried about the further damage a perm would do to the straightened hair. Probably about four inches of my hair is relaxed. Any ideas? If I perm it I have a friend who was a cosmetologist. She said she could me a discount on a perm kit from a beauty supply store and help me roll it. I don't know what her qualifications are but I didn't think this sounded like a very good idea. What do you think?Kim
