> Hi, Elisabella! You certainly can do this. I was just wondering how long you left on the regular conditioner usually. I always double the amount of time recommended on a regular conditioner to cut down on the amount of times your hair really needs deep conditioning.I don't agree with Jen about leaving on the regular conditioner for a longer amount of time not making a real difference. Adding heat to the regular conditioner will definitely help, but you might as well get a deep conditioner and add the heat.Bye for now,Jade21I was wondering if I could use my regular conditioner> as a deep conditioner by leaving it on for 5 to 10> min. Would this help or would I need to buy a deep> conditioner?
Hi there!According to 'Don't go Shopping for Haircare Products without Me" any conditioner, providing it is left on long enough, can be used as a deep conditioner. All the hair needs is time to let those proteins penetrate into the hair shaft. I personaly use my reg. coditioner as a leave in too. It works wonderful!Sherry~> I was wondering if I could use my regular conditioner> as a deep conditioner by leaving it on for 5 to 10> min. Would this help or would I need to buy a deep> conditioner?

If you apply heat, that will help a lot. Just leaving it on longer probably won't make too big of a difference. But try this: after you apply the conditioner, put on a plastic shower cap. Get out of the shower and use a blow dryer on it (don't get it too hot and melt the bag, though! and don't try to take the dryer in the shower and electricute yourself!) Do this for about ten minutes, then rinse your hair with cold water. If you have a heat cap, that will work even better. (You can get them from beauty supply stores for about $30, I think.)Tell me if this helps at all!
