Hi Diane,I agree with Karen. My little girls adore ponytails and pigtails. Sometimes I will put little braids into the pigtails and thread pretty ribbon through the hair. They love it.Kara> Hi Diane,> It is nice to see you posting again. My condolences on> your recent loss.> Little girls love to wear their hair in all sorts of> braids and pigtails. Diane -Klutz Press (who make books for children old and young many of which have brought me hours of enjoymnet:) )makes a great book with detailed instructions of little girls' hairstyles and instructions on how to make cute hairbarretes (including an adorable one with balloons) - its called "Braids and Bows" and comes with a couple of metal clips (which you should coat with clear nail polish before using) and lenghts of ribbon. You can find it for under $20 dollars (I think amazon.com carries it). The book (and its "grown-up" version) is worth the investment. The girls' hair might be a little short for some of the fancier braid styles, but there are styles suitable for shorter lenghts too. The older girl would probably really like the book because it is written for children and, with your help, she can use it to learn how to do her own hair.Other than that, I suggest braided pigtails at the nape, you don't need really long hair it; and it looks cute even with only a couple of full pleats.good luckjj
