Plus, is velcro bad for the> hair???I have some of these and concur with the other people who have responded that they are a terror to get out of your hair. However, for really hard to get styling, the more fanciful type, they are truly fun to use to build up shapes, i left them in, but covered them completely with my hair, so it looks like my hair completely makes up the shapes. but again, that's for the more freakish use & not for styling tp go to work... good luck.

I have thick, long, coarse, straight hair and the didn't work for me, either-too tangly! I've read recently where a hairdresser has said not to use them, because thet are damaging to the hair. I don't think they're so great for styling, either, they don't set like electric rollers or other old standard products.Holly

i bought a 3 pack of the velcro balls ($7.00) and did not like them.... i tried using them on wet hair, damp hair and dry hair with spray... and the results were most unimpressive.... i wanted to put some volume in the crown of my super straight hair and found that i didn't get as much volume as with a volumizing shampoo, conditioner or tonic. on top of that, they tangled up in my normally slippery hair. admittedly, i am not terribly skilled at rolling my hair with standard rollers, but my advice.... invest the money in a good quality styling product .. aveda or artec and save yourself the experience... good luck...jj

Plus, is velcro bad for the> hair???I don't know whether they're good for your hair or not... but I have tried velcro rollers (not the balls). All I can say is that if you have thick coarse curly/wavy hair like mine STAY AWAY from them. When I tried them it took about 20 minutes to get a single roller untangled from my hair, what a disaster!-jennifer j
