i think tamara is referring to the chain crochet stitch, it is difficult to explain, but here goes.... the idea is to pull loops through loops.... here it's loops of hair. try looping one of the sections of hair around your index finger right at the base of the ponytail.... then hook that strand of hair (under the loop)and pull through the first loop, but only far enough to pull another loop through. you keep doing this until the end until you don't have enough hair to make another loop neatly, then just pull the end completely through. once you can conceptualize the process it is quite simple, the only difficulty might be in keeping the loop sizes fairly uniform, or else your "chain" might look lopsided.good luckJJ

Hi Tamara,Thank you so much. I tried your suggestion and it worked GREAT. It was good to see you posting here. I have missed you. :-) You are probably working too hard. Thanks for sharing yet another Tamara hairstyle.Best wishes,Karen> I made this "style" up this morning.> 1) Put your hair up in a high pony.> 2) Divide the tail into thre sections.> 3) Chain each section (from crochet) passing the end> through the last loop. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

I made this "style" up this morning.1) Put your hair up in a high pony.2) Divide the tail into thre sections.3) Chain each section (from crochet) passing the end through the last loop. This locks it long enough to do the other chains.4) Twist the result about a bit until it lays nice, tucking the ends under and spear it into place with a hair stick or two.I did this after breaking a hair stick this morning. I didn't realize a knot could have that much torque.Tamara in Calgary, Canada
