Hi,If the product doesn't comletely cover your gray hair it is probably a vegetable based dye or a semi or demi permanent. This means it will wash out over time. These products are not as a rule damaging to the hair since they don't use peroxide to "lift" color. It sounds very pretty the way it gives your gray the look of highlights. As long as your hair seems to stay healthy and undamaged, you should feel OK about using it.If the ingredients are not on the bottle, they should, by law be listed on something. Did the product come in a box? By law ingredients are supposed to be listed on everything.Let us know how you do with this product.Best wishes,Karen> I came across this product called Clairol Color Hold-> Color Refresher for brunettes. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

I came across this product called Clairol Color Hold- Color Refresher for brunettes. It's suppose to be used to restore richness and shine to your haircolor. I stopped coloring my hair a while back because it was damaging my hair, but i needed to cover grey. I tried this product and it doesn't cover grey completely, but it covers them enough to make it look like highlights. I think i'm going to leave the refresher on longer on the grey hair. Plus it really makes my hair a deeper brown. Has anyone ever tried this stuff? Is it damaging to the hair? The ingredients aren't listed on the bottle so I'm hoping it's not damaging to my already fragile hair. Thanks- k
