Chicago also has very soft water, my hair pretty much just went flat up there. My hair is shoulder length but distilled water could get pretty expensive. I'll check out the hand held shower heads too. I also might try Evening Primrose Oil since I don't get a lot of fat in my diet. In the meantime I'll still continue my search for shampoos simply because I love trying new things too. Thanks for your suggestions. :)> Thanks for all your suggestions and what a great
Hi, Roberta! It's something about hard water, isn't it? I live in Northern Virginia. I moved here about a year ago from Maryland. Hi, Roberta! You have been searching for some good products for your hair for months now. I know how frustrating it can be.I don't know about the "new and improved" Finesse line, but the old version of the shampoo for dry hair drove me to Aubrey Organics. The formula irritated my scalp to the 100th power. I would never trust the line again. Sounds too much like Pantene which was junk to begin with and I have heard from a couple of friends that the new line definitely sucks.I think I recommended to you before that you need to try Aubrey Organics to see how your hair reacts. They have numerous shampoos. You might try the Honeysuckle Rose shampoo which is extremely moisturizing and gentle. The J.A.Y. shampoo might be too much for your hair because it is so fine. You might also try the Blue Green Algae creme rinse as a conditioner because it is extremely light, but does the job. All natural products, totally organic.Have you ever tried Bain De Terre products? They are available at drug stores and they have a shampoo for overstressed hair with a conditioner. The shampoo has SLS in it, but the formula is quite gentle.Bye for now,Jade21I've been searching for a good drug store brand of> shampoo and noticed that Finesse has changed their> formula. I've been searching for a good drug store brand of shampoo and noticed that Finesse has changed their formula. It doesn't contain sodium lauryl sulfate or ammonium xylenesulfonate anymore so I was wondering if anyone has used it recently and if it's less drying. My hair is dry and damaged but also fine and gets weighed down easily. I like Aussie 3 minute miracle but don't like any of the shampoos. I've also tried Nature's Gate and none of them work on my hair either.
