Years of skill and being able to use both your hands! Its much easyer to do someone else hair than to do your own because both hands are free. And of course making the customer feel good also help to.Happy heathy Hair!Diane K.

Try applying a staightening balm such as KMS Flat Out or Joico Straight Edge.Take small sections of hair and using a round brush begin dryng the roots first, ends last.Really pull the hair straight. The more you stretch that hair while wet- the straighter it will be dry.Make sure the dryer is blowing down the hair shaft (toward ends.)Use a little hair polish after to smooth any frizzies.Make sure you don't use too much or it will look limp and greasy.

I thought that might be the products too so I bought everything they used on me (the salon has their own product line), dried my hair with the same type of brush (taking my time) and still my hair didn't have nearly the same life to it. C'mon stylists, let us in on the secret - what gives?

> It's the way they blow dry it also. I never have the patience or the skill to do what hairdressers do and so have the same problem, despite the products. Sometimes I find if I put hot rollers in for a few minutes after I have blow dried, it helps to make it shinier.
