She knew my hair well, so I didnt just go to someone I didnt know to get a perm. She should have been more professional and definitely needs more training. I asked her all kinds of questions, as a matter of fact, they are questions she should have been asking me, but she was pretty dumb anyway. Since she was good at cutting my hair I thought shed be good at perming it. She did not express any doubt in perming my hair, despite the bad perm experience I had when I was 15 (10 years earlier) which I explained to her. Besides she used a perm for color treated hair and it still fried it. Stylists make mistakes and are not perfect, but there are really no excuses for ruining a persons looks. Especially when they are single and dating. No man likes a woman with a gross head of hair that looks like a chia pet. Whats worse, is a stylist who doesnt care that they have literally screwed up your whole self-esteem and social life. They ruin their own reputation by doing that and the reputation of the salon. It is really important for stylists to ask questions to their clients because clients go to stylists for their professional opinions as that is suppossed to be their job. I am not the one who went to beauty school, I shouldnt be the expert on hair porousness or all that. You know? I pay them to do something good for me.

Had she been honest with me it would of saved her a lot of misery and me a lot of guilt. P.S. I had only been doing hair 1 year and didn't have the experiance it takes to know the different porosities of the hair.
