Hi Elisabella. I think that hot oil treatments make oily hair look too greasy. That's why I would never put oil on the top of my hair. Your natural oils on the scalp are already an "oil treatment"! :-) Only use a hot oil treatment on the ends of the hair, never using too much oil. A couple or drops is plenty. I think the best treatments are Aveda's Beaty Composition and ARTec Moisture PAC (which isn't exactly an oil, but it does the job). If you want something less expensve, try jojoba oil, coconut oil, or sweet almond oil for your ends. Olive oil is a bit too greasy in my opinion. I was wondering if hot oils were good for hair that tends to be oily? Which brands would be the best?
