Hands down, without a doubt, the best mascara remover I've used, ever, is Estee Lauder. The older one in the dark blue bottle. It isn't labeled as a waterproof remover but it takes off everything, is very gentle and non-greasy. Besides, you shouldn't be wearing waterproof mascara every day anyway. It's VERY hard on your lashes. You'll lose way more than necessary. There are some great regular mascaras out there now that don't smear, flake or smudge even under extreme conditions, so unless one is a lifeguard, waterproof is overkill. You might try the new one from Lancome, I don't have my tube up here now, but it's their new one that curls your lashes too. It really works. Worth the price. On haircolor. Very important--For your first time, ask around (people you see who have great color) and find a really good colorist. She can assess your lifestyle, hairstyle and type and help you decide on the right color and haircolor type. Haircoloring really is an art and a skill. If you've never colored before it is worth it to talk to a pro about the different options and watch how she applies it. Both the first time, and on subsequent visits to touch up your roots. After a bit, you might feel that you can do the same professional job on your own. And with some practice, you probably can. Haircolor has changed so much over the last 10 years. For any age, gray or no gray, the most important thing is to think in terms of how color can do SO much more than just camouflage. It isn't just to "cover the gray!" It can highlight your face, add volume, shine and richness, and help define your hairstyle. Good luck!

I'm about to turn 50 and have a few grays here and there. My hair is medium brown in color, medium in texture and I wear it short. I suppose it's time to think of covering that gray! I don't know if I should use a permanent hair color, temporary color or something I wash in each time I shampoo. Can someone give me some tips?Has anyone had experience with using the TIGI (Bed Head) products?I'm also looking for a good waterproof mascara remover. It seems the few I have tried (Benefit, Yves Rocher, Avon) don't remove the mascara, require a lot of rubbing or are oily. Can someone suggest something? Thanks for your help!SHERRI
