It appears that my response to Morganna's situation ruffled your feathers a tad. Relax, that wasn't my intention. To a lot of us who have been coloring our own hair at home, the general term "pro" can imply anyone at a hair salon that also does hair coloring. I was just suggesting that she more specifically seek out a "COLORING SPECIALIST" based on my own unfortunate experience with a so-called "pro". Hope that clears things up, and have a good hair day!!! :)

i dont recall saying see a hair stylist-- i said see a pro, which in fact means see a hair specialst, hence the name "pro"

I had a good experience with Feria when I tried it last year. To tell you the truth, I was very surprised that it did indeed leave my hair looking like it had some subtle highlights through it. I didn't think a one-process type product like that was capable of doing that, but in my case it did. Also, I found it to be much less harsh on my hair than other store-bought hair colors I had tried. The texture was silkier to me. It's been a while since I used it, but I can't remember experiencing any fading. I was using a good quality shampoo for color-treated hair, and conditioning it regularly. One comment about "seeing a pro because you're pretty much guaranteed great results". If you want "guaranteed great results", go to a COLORING SPECIALIST, not just a hair stylist that also does coloring. I went to my professional hair stylist that owns her own successful shop to get a professional hair coloring and highlighting, (we even discussed what I wanted with pictures and hair swatches beforehand), and the results were absolutely disasterous---the complete opposite to what we both "supposedly understood" I wanted!!! I'm at this site to learn as much as I can so that I can correct what I was left with, and from now on color my own hair.

Help! I have fine, waist-length medium-to-dark blonde hair (more golden that ash), and I want to dye it with Féria 110 Starlet, a very light beige blonde. I really like the idea of multiple highlights that Féria promises, and I'd love it to come out the way it looks on the packages, but I've heard that it fades very quickly. Can anyone tell me if this is a good product to use, and if not, what could give me a similar effect? I haven't totally ruled out going to a salon, but because of the length of my hair I don't want to spend all that money. Thanks!
